Q. What are the common causes of window and glass door damage?

A. There are obviously accidents that can lead to damage to your windows and doors. For instance, children throwing a ball through the window. Most commonly though, the damage is caused by the weather. The wind is a major issue when it comes to doors and windows and flying debris is probably the most common cause of significant damage.
Q. How can I protect my windows from damage?

A. There is no way to fully protect a window from weather damage without covering it entirely. For this reason, functional shutters are a good idea for areas where there are frequent storms and wind. Blinds, awnings and other coverings can also be protective to a lesser degree. Keep projectiles such as small toys, hanging chimes, unsecured planters and other small objects which could be carried by the wind, away from your windows.
Q. How long does it take to replace the glass in a window?

A. That depends partly on the size of the window and how much of the glass needs to be replaced. We will discuss a proposed timeline for a specific window when we quote your job so you will have a good idea of how long it might take.
